He seems to be a very emotional person, and quite often worries about his friends, causing him to become angry. Tyson isn’t a born leader, yet because of his magnetic personality and self-confidence, people seem to gravitate toward him. No situation is too risky for Tyson, and he often relies on nothing more than luck. His style of playing is aggressive and all in all, Tyson is one fierce competitor.

Although Segar’s Thimble Theatre strip, first published on December 19, 1919, was in its tenth year when Popeye made his debut, the sailor quickly became the main focus of the strip and Thimble Theatre became one of King Features’ most popular strips during the 1930s. Tom and Jerry was a successful and long-running series of theatrical short subjects created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. The cartoons centered around a never-ending rivalry between a housecat (Tom) and a brown mouse (Jerry), whose chases and battles often involved comic violence. Hanna and Barbera ultimately wrote and directed one hundred fourteen Tom and Jerry cartoons at the MGM cartoon studio in Hollywood, California between 1940 and 1957, when the animation unit was closed down. The original series is notable for having won the Academy Awards for Best Short Subject (Cartoons) seven times, tieing it with Walt Disney’s Silly Symphonies as the most-awarded theatrical animated series.

In 1960, MGM had new Tom and Jerry cartoons produced by Rembrandt Films, led by Gene Deitch in Eastern Europe. Production of Tom and Jerry shorts returned to Hollywood with Chuck Jones’ Sib-Tower 12 Productions in 1963; this series lasted until 1967. Tom and Jerry later resurfaced in TV cartoons produced by Hanna-Barbera and Filmatio  Studios during the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. Today, Warner Bro. owns the rights to Tom and Jerry, and produces the series Tom and Jerry Tales for The CW’s Saturday morning “Kids WB” lineup, as well as a string of Tom and Jerry direct-to-video films. Ash Ketchum, known as Satoshi (サトシ?) in Japan, is a fictional character and main protagonist from the Pokémon anime. There are also incarnations of him in a plethora of manga adaptations, of which include The Electric Tale of Pikachu, Pocket Monsters Zensho, and Ash & Pikachu. He is loosely based on Red, the protagonist of the games Pokémon Red and Blue. The family name “Ketchum” is a pun on the series’ franchise’s former tagline and slogan, “Gotta catch ‘em all!”.

At the beginning of the series, Ash was 10 years old, and later, in the episode “The Battle Of The Badge”, Ash said that it was a whole year since he and Pikachu had visited Viridian City, making him 11. Furthermore, in the short called “Pikachu & Pichu” which was attached to Pokémon 3: The Movie, he said the day when the events depicted in the short took place was the anniversary of the day he met Pikachu, meaning his age at that time would be at least 12. However, two seasons later, the official Japanese Pokémon website reported that Ash was the same age as May, who was 13 or so years old at the time. This and the fact that the two are at the same height suggests that both of the characters are the same age. However, as the story progressesd, Ash must now be 13 going on 14. Read more »
